Have you often battled with feelings of emptiness, insecurity, confusion, and hurt? Those feelings are often signals to draw closer to God with an open heart and open arms. Living in frustration, confusion, pain, and hurt is the enemy’s goal because he doesn’t want you to know the truth about how God sees you.

This book helps prepare you to journey through your discovery of how to replace the ashes of your experiences, hurts, pains, disappointments, and inadequacies with the beauty in God that can only be obtained through an intimate relationship with Him. God will reveal the beauty in every experience. He desires for each of us to live and operate in our true authenticity revealed in the Word of God. Discover how brokenness can be replaced with wholeness and purpose from God. God will give you the beauty of wholeness, truth, righteousness, love, joy, peace, patience, and long-suffering. Isaiah 61:3 NLT

What Readers Are Sharing About The Book

This book has been an eye opener for me.  I have personally overcome and been delivered from things that have hurt me in my past, bad relationships, divorce, and many disappointments. However, after reading this book I have discovered that I am not as whole as I thought I was because of the after effects of my experiences.  Thank you for reminding me through God’s Word that I am fearfully and wonderfully made and that I can be whatever God has called me to be, and not to let fear and disappointment keep from me from His will for my life, not what I think or what others think it should be.

Beauty for Ashes was an extremely comforting read. It presents God’s healing and loving nature in an easy and very obtainable manner. As one who has spent several years reading many books with advanced theological suggestions and analyses, Melanie’s approach is very user friendly, and almost makes the reader feel as though they are having a one-on-one conversation with someone who is invested in their well-being. I loved each scripture reference which further emphasized each point.

For me, there are a lot of things I have learned to suppress and pretty block from my memory; but that still have an impact on my daily life and for me the first sentence of Chapter 5 “Brokenness is the opposite of God’s desire for your life,” truly sticks with me. It’s easy to put on your make up, curl your hair, put on your flyest outfit and smile for the world, but still be completely a mess on the inside. Over the past year, I have done A LOT of reflection and self assessments to come to a place where I am happy with who I am; and once I was able to accept myself…flaws and all, I have seen a complete shift in how God has blessed me.

I believe that Beauty for Ashes is a VERY inspiring read! It is thought provoking, impactful and relevant: It causes the reader to inspect themselves and take inventory of areas that may have been hidden or buried. In a world where there are constant reminders of the negatives, I found it refreshing to be reminded of how God can take your failures, insecurities and shortcomings and produce something that is…..Love-ly….Beautiful. Thank you for penning this book! It is one that I intend to utilize and share during my mentor sessions!
